Béla Bartók Concerto for Orchestra – jubilee CD variations. Created in honor of composer and pianist Béla Bartók’s 140th birthday. In individual movements of his pieces there is always a main instrument. The first variation refers to this with its minimalistic instrument illustrations. Bartók wrote this piece during his years in America, therefore his dreary state of mind and homesickness present themselves in multiple of his works. In the second variation the imagery visualizes this melancholic mood. The third one is inspired by baroque and Hungarian folk motives.
